In the center of the "Contacts Tab" you will see a "business card"for your contacts. This business card contains the most important information on this contact, allowing you to easily view this information at a glance.
Adding a new Contact
Enter in all information for the primary contact and then press "add contact". This will establish a new record in the system and will display this record under the contact info section. Once established, you may go in and add information in any field you may choose. Feature Video:Add a New Contact
Editing a Contact
Unlike most Web Based CRM Software we make it very quick and easy for you to edit/ update information pertaining to your contact. You can choose to use the traditional "edit" mode and then "save" the data after your update, OR you can simply click on the field you wish to edit and our system will automatically open that paritcular field - allowing you to edit right there in the data cell.
Select the map function next your clients address on the contact record and harness the power of Google Maps to send directions to your office or get directions to your client's address. You can print, email or text-message the directions with the click of a mouse.
Click on the email address within the contact record and send an email directly from the system. All emails, and attachments that you send from the system will automatically be saved in the contact's history.
Capture all incoming emails using our "Email Dropbox" feature. The system will automatically sort incoming emails and store them in the appropriate contact record. Another great example of how this system captures and stores all client history in one comprehensive view.
Input the IM service and screen name for a client and you are able to initiate a conversation right from the contact record. Simply click on the screen name that is prominently displayed in the main contact information to initiate a conversation.
Type/Lead/Group
The Contact Type helps to segment your contacts. Examples include Client, Prospect, Friend, Family, or Employee. These are customizable. You can have as many contact types as you want. Lead Type and Lead Source can be used to identify how you were introduced to the contact. Grouping is a way to further segment your contacts. You can have both Groups and Categories.
Comments
A general note about the contact. Something important that you want to remember. This is displayed prominently with the contact data so is easy to spot.
Tags
You can have as many tags as you want to add to identify this contact. You can search for contacts that have the same tags using the Contact Browser.
First, Middle and Last Name, Address, Phone, Mobile, Fax, Company Phone, Email, Company Email, Website, IM Service and Screen name, Company Name, Company Address, Date of Birth, Anniversary, SSN, Up to 6 Interests
Family
Add as many additional family members as you want. Can save First and Last Name, Date of Birth, SSN, Phone, Email and their Relation to the main contact.
Second Home
Many people today have a second home or vacation home where they spend much of their time. Here you can track the Address and Phone Number, along with the Months of the year this is their primary residence.
Custom Data
You can create as many customer data fields as you wish. Custom data is used for storing information you want to track about people that Big Contacts does not already save.
Last Viewed
This function displays the last five contacts that you have touched within the system. You may need to quickly go back to a record to add some more information. You can click on any of the five names displayed and instantly retrieve their record.
This feature allows you to make quick notes about a contact. All notes are recorded and permanently stored in the history section of the contact record. This section can also be used for copying an email sent from a client and pasting it to record their email in the history section of their record.
This feature allows you to record the date and details of a call with this contact. All calls are recorded and permanently stored in the history section of the contact record.
In this section, you can schedule a meeting with a contact. You must be on that contacts record in order to schedule a meeting with them. You select the date, time and duration of the meeting. You can also choose who on your team you would like to attend.
